Deer Lake is a district in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population is 687 at the census of 2010. The mayor of the borough is Larry Kozlowski.

Histori
The community was founded as a resort community serving coal barons and other members of the wealthy elite near Pottsville, Pennsylvania. A small summer stock theater operated during the 1920s, where actors such as John Kenley performed.
In 1972 Muhammad Ali set up his training camp in Deer Lake, and still stands today complete with indoor boxing ring.

Deer Lake is located on 40Ã, à ° 37? 19? N 76Ã, à ° 3? 17? W (40.621903, -76.054638).
According to the US Census Bureau, the district has an area of ââ0.4 square miles (1.0 km 2 ), which is 0.4 square miles (1.0 km 2 ) of that is ground and 0.04 square miles (0.10 km 2 ) of it (6.67%) is water.
Pennsylvania Route 61 is the main highway that passes Deer Lake.
Demographics
At the 2000 census, there were 528 people, 203 households, and 160 families living in the area. Population density was 1,261.8 people per square mile (485.4/km ò). There are 216 units of homes with an average density of 516.2 per square mile (198.6/km²). Racial makeup of the boroughs is 98.30% White, 0.19% Native Americans, 1.33% Asian, and 0.19% of two or more races. Hispanic or Latin of any race is 0.19% of the population.
There are 203 households where 34.0% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 66.5% are married couples living together, 8.9% have unmarried female households present, and 20.7% is not family. 18.2% of all households are individual and 6.9% have a living person aged 65 or older. The average household size is 2.60 and the average family size is 2.94.
In the borough the population is spread by 23.1% under the age of 18, 7.0% from 18 to 24, 30.9% from 25 to 44, 27.7% from 45 to 64, and 11.4% or older. The median age is 39 years. For every 100 women there are 89.9 men. For every 100 women age 18 and over, there are 95.2 men.
The average income for households in the borough is $ 52,386, and the average income for families is $ 61,042. Men have an average income of $ 36,000 compared to $ 28,611 for women. The per capita income for the borough is $ 25,577. About 1.3% of families and 4.0% of the population are below the poverty line, including none under the age of 18 and 13.3% of those aged 65 and older.
