A board book is the type of book printed on thick cardboard. Carton paper is printed and used both for cover and interior pages. Each page pane is a minimum of two layers of paper thickness. Unlike ordinary paper books tied with staples or perfect binding, the board book pages are specially folded and tied together. The board books are very durable and consequently aimed at children, who often tend to be less gentle with the book. Most of the world's manufactured board books are produced in China and Mexico; However, there is one printer board book that is still located in the United States and some printers are still in Europe.
