Library/Southwest 9th Avenue and Galleria/Southwest 10th Avenue is a light rail line at MAX Blue and Red Lines in Portland, Oregon. It is the original west terminus and now the east end of Eastside MAX stops in the east/last stop to the west in the city center.

The Library/Southwest 9th Avenue stop is on Yamhill Street and used by trains to the east, while Galleria/Southwest 10th Avenue is on Morrison Street and used by trains westward. Both platforms were built on the sidewalk on the street, and the parking garage with the booth on the ground floor was between them.

For more than five years, the station is also served by the Yellow Line, from the opening of the channel in May 2004 to the relocation to Portland Transit Mall in August 2009.

trek loop 11th Avenue

Three loop lines 11th Avenue, located one block west of these two stations, allowing the train to the west ending in downtown Portland access to Yamhill Road from Morrison Street. Before the opening of the Westside section of what is now the Blue Line, all trains use this facility to reverse direction. The Red Line train used it from the opening of the line in 2001 until it was extended to the Beaverton Transit Center in 2003. Later, the Portland Vintage Trolley still used it on Sunday, and starting in 2004 the Yellow line used a convolution every day until the Yellow Line and the Vintage Trolley were both moved to the Portland Transit Mall. Currently, there is no routine use of turnaround rounds here, but is often used to store temporary trains for use after events, such as games at nearby Providence Park.

When TriMet started using colors to define rail lines (2001), this was considered a western terminal for what is now the Blue Line, until it expanded westward into Hillsboro in 1998; This also applies to the Red Line when it opened in 2001 until it extended westward to the Beaverton Transit Center in 2003. It was then used as a west terminal for the Yellow Line until it moved to the Portland Transit Mall in 2009.

Due to security concerns, passengers are not allowed on trains that pass through the loop and have to get off at the Galleria platform. The page takes about half a block of the city of Portland, and includes a small maintenance hole and operator break room. It is also used to store trains for special occasions. This is similar to the Vintage Trolley intersection at Lloyd Center/NE 11th Ave MAX Station, which is now used to store extra light rail for events at the Rose Quarter Transit Center since the Vintage Trolley is no longer in operation.

Portland Streetcar Connection

The Portland Streetcar system stops near this MAX station, on 10th Avenue and 11th Avenue. The stops on 10th Avenue allow transfer to streetcars north on the NS Line to the Pearl District and Northwest Portland, and at A Loop to the Pearl District, Lloyd District, Oregon Convention Center, and other points on the east side of town. The stops on 11th Avenue allow transfers to streetcars to the south on the NS Line to Portland State University and South Waterfront, and at B Loop to South Waterfront, the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry and the east side. Northbound stops, on 10th Avenue, located in the Central Library (on Yamhill Street from the MAX platform) and at Alder (one block north of the MAX platform at Morrison). Southbound stops, on 11th Avenue, is at Alder and Taylor Streets (the last one behind the Central Library).

The MAX railway that passes through the light rail/junction of Portland Streetcar has priority over tram traffic, though both are generally moving with traffic flow. In addition, there are also buttons to bring streetcars to the MAX line. On a rainy day, one can see sparks when one type of train pantograph touches an electric wire junction.
