Bio-metric Passport

In September 2017, Kenya began issuing East Africa's new ePassport format. Validity

Registration

Passport type

There are three types of passports:

Appearance

RFID chip and bio-metric certificate

Application process

Applications for all passport services are made online through https://www.ecitizen.go.ke/For new applicants, the process begins with creating an account at an online portal. The applicant can not use someone else's account because account creation details are the first name and the official national ID number. Dual citizenship

According to Kenyan constitution one can be a citizen of Kenya from birth or by registration.
