CODA plc is a UK-based international financial software company. Founded in 1979, purchased in 2008 by Unit4, a Software Company supplier, based in the Netherlands. CODA creates, markets and implements a variety of business software systems designed specifically to meet the needs of the Finance Directors and Treasury. These include:
- financial management systems such as accounting software and procurement software:
- financial analysis applications such as reporting, consolidation and planning and budgeting systems;
- financial control systems, such as process management and control software to comply with legislation such as Sarbanes Oxley.

CODA was founded in Leeds, Yorkshire in 1979 by Rodney Potts and Christopher Lennox and in the early 1990s the company's headquarters was moved to Harrogate. Today CODA has about 600 employees working from 14 country operations worldwide.
In 1998, the CODA PLC group was purchased by the Dutch software company Baan NV for £ 52.9 million ($ 86.7 million), who wanted to compete in the market for independent financial software and improve existing financial offerings. 4
In 2000, Baan suffered financial difficulties and Coda's business line was acquired by one of its main implementation partners, Science Systems in the UK (now SCISYS). Chippenham's software and consulting firm headquartered in acquiring CODA's trades and assets in 2000, changed the name of its parent company CODA SciSys PLC in 2002.
In 2006, CODA SciSys announced a demerger to form two listed companies, CODA (financial software company) and SciSys (an IT sector space and public sector company).
In 2008, CODA became part of the Group 4 Agresso group of companies.

The CODA software is designed for multi-currency, multi-lingual, multi-country, multi-enterprise and multi-site operations, and is used by approximately 2,600 medium and large organizations in over 100 countries across a variety of markets and in the public and commercial sectors.
