Deer Valley School in Antioch, California, is a public high school serving southeast Antioch in Contra Costa County, California. Opened in 1996.
In 2007, the Antioch Unified School District named Scott Bergerhouse and co-principals Clarence Isadore. The previous co-principal model has been applied in some of the larger schools in southern California.
In February 2010, Deer Valley and the rest of AUSD schools were informed that they would issue a uniform policy in the second half of the 2010-2011 school year. This policy proved to be a failure for schools, partly because the policy came into force in mid-year. The policy was terminated in the second month.

Academics
Schools are divided into four "houses", each with its own vice principal and secretary. At the freshman level and second year, Deer Valley uses the concept of cooperation, in which groups of students share the same English, math, science and history teachers. In addition to the core classes, various elective classes are offered to students. In addition to instrumental and choral music, foreign languages, dramas, autos, culinary, and art classes, students can also enroll in electives including video production, digital art, web design, animation, law, manufacturing, photography, and careers with children.
Deer Valley also has an academy: Antioch Unified School District has four Linked Learning academies throughout the district. There are four colleges at the Deer Valley High School campus, the Law Academy, the Performing Arts Academy, the Business Academy, and the ACE Academy.
The process of attending the academy begins in the second half of the eighth grade, when students and their parents have the opportunity to attend presentations by each of the Learning Link academies. Students may register for one or more by filling out an application. Selection is done by lot; this is open to all district students without pre-testing; However, there is a 3.0 GPA requirement.
Located in House 2 of DVHS, the Academy of Law curriculum includes three elements: legal-related content embedded in required courses in English, social studies, mathematics and science, special elective courses of law such as Constitutional and Criminal Justice Law, and work-based learning during four years of study.
Students enrolled in the Valley Deer Law Academy must take a basic criminal justice class in grade 9, with the curriculum proceeding to the next year, and psychology in 11th grade. The Deer Valley is also one of the few secondary schools in California with the option of taking Philosophy; Student Law is placed as a top priority in the registration process.

Deer Valley High School is one of several high schools in the Bay Area to have a planetarium. Planetarium has been in operation since 2004 and hosts two weekly for the community.
