Bethpage Federal Credit Union is a federal charter credit union headquartered in Bethpage, Long Island, New York. In January 2017, Bethpage FCU is the largest credit union in New York state and the 16th largest in the country with about $ 7.2 billion in assets, 309,000 members, and 38 publicly accessible branches across Nassau and Suffolk County.
Eligibility for membership is extended to anyone living in the United States. Members of deposits up to $ 250,000 in Bethpage FCU are covered by the National Credit Union Insurance Funds Insurance Fund.

History
Grumman Hangar 2 Credit Union was opened for employees of Grumman Aircraft Engineering Corporation on October 28, 1941. After being initially formed at Farmingdale, Grumman moved to Bethpage when the credit union was separated in 1994, thus changing its name to Bethpage Federal Credit Union . In 2003, Bethpage was approved for the largest US federal community charter, allowing for rapid growth.

Community Engagement
Bethpage FCU has extensive ties to the communities it serves. Over the years, Bethpage FCU has sponsored the Bethpage Air Show event at Jones Beach. In 2010, Bethpage FCU signed a 10-year contract to sponsor the Suffolk County Sports Park in Central Islip, now known as Bethpage Ballpark, home of the Long Island Ducks. Bethpage FCU agrees in 2014 to sponsor a football stadium in C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University, where they have also set up high-tech branches for students and school faculty.
