ServiceNow, Inc. is a cloud computing company headquartered in Santa Clara, California. It was founded in 2004 by Fred Luddy, the previous CTO of software companies Peregrine Systems and Remedy Corporation. ServiceNow is listed on the New York Stock Exchange and is a constituent of the Russell 1000 index.

History
After serving as CTO for Peregrine Systems in San Diego, Fred Luddy started Glidesoft, Inc. in 2004. Glidesoft specialized in IT service management applications based on ITIL standards. In 2006, the company changed its name to ServiceNow. In 2007, ServiceNow reported an annual revenue of $13 million and began serving IT solutions to large companies such as TIAA-CREF, Intel, Staples, Safeway, University of San Francisco, and AstraZeneca.
In 2011, Frank Slootman replaced Luddy as CEO. Slootman was previously the CEO of Data Domain before it was purchased by EMC Corporation.
In 2012, ServiceNow became a publicly traded company. ServiceNow was therefore the first technology company taken public by Morgan Stanley since Facebook. Shortly after going public, ServiceNow relocated its headquarters from San Diego to Santa Clara.
ServiceNow currently holds additional office locations in San Diego, Dallas area, London, New York City, Kirkland, Washington, San Francisco, Frankfurt, Orlando, Toronto, Sao Paulo, Amsterdam, Paris, Singapore, Sydney, and Hyderabad.
On February 27, 2017 ServiceNow announced that its Board of Directors had named John Donahoe President and CEO, to start on April 3, 2017 when Frank Slootman, the current President, CEO and Chairman of the Board, would be stepping down.
